Hi!
A little while ago I sent this tongue in cheek email that mentioned Mr (or Mrs) Adventure Spec.
Well, what would you know, a real life Mr Adventure Spec replied!
If you are on the larger end of the sizing chart, Mr Adventure Spec has a few tips on how our/his gear fits.

I also enjoy Adventure Spec quality on bike and myself 😊

Hi Stuart,
Thanks for getting in touch. You really are the Mr Adventure Spec that Greg was talking about! Great pics - I hope the gear and hard parts are continuing to do their part so you can enjoy your time out on the bike.
The only thing missing now is an Adventure Spec bike!
Maybe we should white label something or make a fancy graphics kit for the CRF :)
I hope all is well and if I can help with anything in future, please do give us a shout.
Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben.
Great reply!
Seriously, as a big chap the Adventure Spec clothing fits me very well. I normally struggle with getting jackets with long enough sleeves, but the Adventure Spec fit very well and do what they are supposed to.
We rode in what must have been the wettest day of the year in the Lake District and the Gravel Pants and Jacket kept me 95% dry - days like that make them worth the money.
I also have a Linesman Jacket and Mongolia Jacket along with the Atacama Pants which are perfect on rare hot days, Oh I have the base layers too which are fantastic. Great material - really stretchy and very warm. Not forgetting winter and summer gloves 😊.
The Adventure Spec bash plate for the 300L is the best I’ve seen. It fits well with great wrap around protection.
Keep up the good work.
All the best.
Stuart.
What a wonderful Helpdesk chat. I asked Stuart if he wouldn't mind sharing his sizing so other 'big chaps' might get an idea of how our gear fits. This is what he had to say...

"I am 60, I find that hard to believe as I am certainly young at heart. I remember when I was a boy, men at 60 years of age, it was pipe and slippers sat next to the fire. Certainly not riding Trials regularly and Trail riding all over the country like myself and friends my age do.
So I am 60.
As I say, a big chap. I am 19 stone, and pretty fit.
I have 52 inch chest.
40 inch waist.
34 inch inside leg.
And size 14 feet.
Normal shirts and Jackets are normally XXL or XXXL depending on the brand, and it difficult to find brands which are long enough in the sleeves.
This is where AS excels.
All my Linesman, Mongolia and Gravel Jackets are all a great fit, sleeve length is perfect and they are all XXXL.
My Gravel pants and Atacama pants are all 42’ waist to allow for base layers.
I like to wear my trousers inside my boots and tape up the boot tops to keep the water out. I don’t rip the trousers on the foot pegs that way.
My hands are size 11/12. Adventure Spec glove size is XXXL again a very good fit."
Stuart, thank you.
🙌 🙂
