Hi!
Today I have a treat for your ears.
Especially if you enjoy both middle aged cantankerous banter, and highly technical gear reviews.
We are big fans of the Trail and Adventure Motorcycle Podcast, so when Clive and Noel invited our Product Manager Jim onto the show he replied with a big fat YES!
Would Jim survive the grilling, and how many times can Clive swear in forty five minutes?
Here's a few golden nuggets to whet your appetite...
🎤
"That sounds like user error though... Was Greg riding it? By any chance. Mr Clutchburner himself."
Now, as offensive as this might sound, there is some truth in the fact that I have burned a clutch or two out in my time. It's a fine line figuring out where the operating envelope ends on some adventure bikes. But, on this occasion it was not me riding the new Himi 450 up an insanely steep Welsh track on the hottest day of the year.

"Working with the factory, we re-sourced the fabric, which allowed us to buy cheaper... The fabric that the Supershirt is made of is made in the UK. It's then shipped out to our factory in Bulgaria and made into the Supershirt. And through kind of quite a workbook exercise, we've managed to reduce the cost of that Supershirt..."
One of the most significant changes from the Supershirt to the Supershirt 2.0 was the price. Jim explains how a fairly simple change had a big impact for our riding community.
🎤
"Don't worry, I'll beep it out... It's just like all these young people coming along and thinking, look at us on our bikes going cycle touring with our packs on our bikes. It's cycle touring, you've just got ridiculous luggage."
Clive is not short on opinions when it comes to the lack or difference between cycle touring and bike packing. Jim on the other hand isn't so sure...
There's plenty more packed into Jim's TAMP episode. Stick your headphones in and put the kettle on.
And if you enjoy what you hear, there's a treasure trove of other adventure motorcycling guests waiting for you here.
