The jacket for fat rain
Aqua Pac

Hi

I remember taking this photo.

Wil had ridden up to Scotland on his tricked out KTM 690.

I was on my 450EXC.

We had spent the day enjoying the tight twisty roads and trails of the borders, avoiding the black clouds.

Eventually they caught up with us.

It wasn't a long shower, but boy was it wet.

Proper, northern, fat rain wet.

We pulled up and Wil grabbed his Aqua Pac jacket from his small Kriega US5 pack on the back of his bike.

I grabbed my camera.

The Aqua Pac is one of our simplest jackets.

Light, small and extremely packable.

But with a huge hydrostatic head of 28,000mm

Which puts it in the 'very' waterproof jacket territory.

We stripped everything apart from the technical essentials from this jacket.

Super waterproof and breathable 3 layer fabric

No hand pockets (just one on the chest).

A long tail.

A cinch neck.

If you want to wear it all day it will keep the rain and wind at bay, but really it's designed to live in your pack.

A true ADV Layer.

Allowing you to ride in comfort wearing your Linesman Jacket during the sunshine, then keeps you dry when the heavens open.

Because if you are riding in Scotland, those heavens WILL open.
