Why do the sleeves come off The Linesman Jacket?
It was always part of the plan

Hello!

Here’s a question I get asked every now and again.

Why do the arms come off the Linesman Jacket?

Because when you zip them off, you remove the shoulder and elbow armour too.

And so your CE A rated jacket loses its protection.

Odd, I know.

But here’s the thing.

When we designed The Linesman Jacket (quite a few years ago now), we had a very particular under garment in mind.

A CE AA rated abrasion resistant and impact protective baselayer.

Also known as ‘The Supershirt’.

Wearing it means that you can ride in The Linesman Jacket with arms off without losing any protection.

In fact wearing The Supershirt underneath your Linesman Jacket bumps your CE protection from A to AA.

Neat.

Today we have just restocked our new Linesman Jacket in our UK, EU and USA stores.

And I have been told that our incoming batch of Supershirts has just left our EU factory so I expect they will be in stock in a week or two.

I’ll let you know as soon as they arrive.

In the meantime, if you have been waiting for The Linesman Jacket now is good time to grab yours while they are in stock.

🙂
