Marketing Assistant 2026

Mytholmroyd, United Kingdom

THE ROLE

Adventure Spec is looking for a Marketing Assistant to help drive the next chapter of our ‘Light Is Right’ story.

You will be responsible for the technical management of our paid advertising spend and the planning and delivery of our community events. Working alongside our Brand Director, you will ensure our story reaches the right audiences and creates measurable growth.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a proactive professional who "gets" the outdoors, loves adventure motorcycling and possesses the following:

Technical Ad Management:

Proven experience navigating Meta Business Suite and Google Ads. You understand pixel tracking, technical integrations, and how to optimize spend based on ROAS.

Logistical Delivery:

Experience in event management. You are comfortable with the "van-ready" reality: driving a long-wheelbase van, loading/unloading gear, and potentially camping at events.

Analytical Curiosity:

You don’t just report numbers; you interrogate them. You are comfortable using Google Analytics and eCommerce data (Odoo) to find the "truth" and guide strategic decisions.

Community Knowledge:

You can speak authentically to motorcyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. You understand how to build genuine relationships with ambassadors and grassroots organisations.

Licensing:

A full motorcycle and car license is essential for this role.

A passion for adventure motorcycling:

You know what it feels like to use an adventure bike to ride somewhere wild and camp. Type 2 fun.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Performance Marketing & Analytics

  • Take full ownership of Meta and Google Ads accounts, managing technical setup, daily spend, and reporting.
  • Identify and test key messages and creative approaches in various geographical territories.
  • Create data-driven reports to help steer the business. We value a "test, learn, pivot" mindset.

2. Community & Event Delivery

  • Plan and lead a calendar of ‘real-world’ events, including major festivals, smaller events, and local pop-up shops around the UK.
  • Build and manage a "Community Team" of ambassadors; managing gear budgets and activating your team to help Adventure Spec reach our goals.
  • Proactively reach out to riding clubs and grass roots organisations to find new ways for Adventure Spec to support the riding community.

3. Product & Brand Integration

  • Ride, test and feedback on the development of Adventure Spec gear. You will use prototypes and provide feedback that directly influences our product development.
  • Digital Presence: Act as the first point of contact on social platforms, bridging the gap between social engagement and our formal Customer Support team.
  • Website & SEO: Assist with website upkeep, SEO fine-tuning.
  • Social media storytelling. You will work with our Brand Director to help apply brand and product messaging across our social platforms.

Growth & Development

Adventure Spec is a small team of adventure motorcyclists.

We value everything you would expect from a business that aims to punch above its own weight - hard work, dedication, resilience etc. An attitude we particularly value is curiosity. How do we make this better?

We provide a dedicated budget for your training and development. If you want to master new A.I. tools or take a deep-dive course into analytics to help you work smarter, we will back you.

And when it’s time to put down the tools and focus on each other, we ride. We host an annual adventure riding weekend that the whole team take part in. Be prepared to sleep in a tent and have your photo taken for our media 😎.
