Hiking pants for ADV riders. Version 2.0.

The new Linesman Pant 2.0.

Hi!

You have two great options in this email.

Be the first to upgrade.

Or grab a bargain.

One of the guiding pillars of Adventure Spec is the phrase 'lightweight outdoors gear for adventure motorcyclists'.

We love being in the great outdoors, and our lightweight bikes are our tool of choice.

Much in the same way as canoes, kayaks, mountain bikes and hiking boots are what others use to get their outdoors fix.

In fact we've been known to hike up a hill or two ourselves.

And back in the early days, we actually rode our bikes in hiking gear because the motorcycle gear available was just too road focussed.

It was super protective, but too hot, bulky and restrictive for trail riding.

But then again, our hiking gear was perfect on the trails, but offered us very little protection if we fell off.

The question was, "What would hiking gear look like if it were made for motorcyclists?"

The Linesman Jacket and Pant are our answer.

Today I want to talk about the Linesman Pant.

We built these to be hiking pants/trousers for adventure motorcyclists.

This required us to work with our mills to create a new fabric that was light, stretchy, super comfortable but also very abrasion resistant.

The first time you put on the Linesman Pant you are struck by how comfortable they are, they really don't feel anything like the adventure riding pants you've used in the past.

"Congratulations on putting the thought and effort into developing the Linesman pant. The result TBH is the most comfortable pair of biking trousers I've ever had the pleasure of wearing."

Our design and production team nailed it with the bi-stretch Panama fabric that allows the Linesman Pant to be as comfortable as a hiking pant but also be abrasion resistant enough to pass CE AA certification.

To prove the point we made this short film that involved riding to a (small) mountain before hiking it, all in our Linesman Pant.

If you've been following the Adventure Spec story this year you will know we are transitioning all our gear to our new Flow armour.

Today it's the turn of the Linesman Pant 2.0.

This new version of the pant now ships with Flow level 2 knee and hip armour.

The Flow knee armour is softer and longer, offering protection from above the knee right down the front of your shin. It works with our floating knee armour pocket that allows you to slot the knee armour into your boot and fasten it so it stays in place when you transition from sitting to standing.

We made the decision not to go with the thinnest armour possible in the knee, because when you are kneeling on the hard ground, do you really want your armour to be so thin you can't feel it? We figured the softer the better.

Hips on the other hand, that's somewhere you do want your armour to be as thin as possible without compromising performance. Our Flow hip armour is the thinnest and most flexible Flow armour we make. At just 10 mm thin you hardly feel its there, but it retains its level 2 impact protection.

Both Flow knee and hip armour can be removed (handy for washing), and are also used in our Gravel Pant - watch me talk them through in detail here.

So stretchy you can get your leg over more easily.

The Linesman Pant 2.0 is available in black or sand, and is in stock in our UK, EU and USA stores.

Or if you are after a bargain (and your size is available) you can grab The Linesman Pant 1.0 in our sale here.
